Why does this service exist?
This is a very
common question. The answer is because we can.
With little to no technical support there is
no way anyone can beat our deals. It is crazy to start a new
hosting company in this competitive
industry so rather than turn our primary company into something huge
we did this instead. At Mocrap there is no need for us to hire expensive
7x24 staff
and there is also no need for us to outsource to overseas
call center services like most hosting companies do today.
That's fine for them, so rather than go that path, we went a
different direction. So many customers seem to want more
for less in this industry, so rather than be like everyone else, we
decided to offer something great to people that know what they are
doing. Outsourcing
everything is what some hosts want to do and that's fine for them... giving everything away and treating people worse than
dirt. We'll treat people like dirt too, but those other hosts are
doing worse by actually not caring about customers in the long run.
We actually care deep down but won't show it.. Our
network is how we show it. We much rather just go the
other way and take care of SMART people by giving them what they
need and know how to use in the first place. Mocrap is not for everyone, but we still care about customers in our
own sick way. Our job is to keep your site running
and take care of you because you already know what you are doing
here at Mocrap. In return for not bothering us,
we'll give you better service than the most expensive host out
there. So no fly by night host using third world
employees can beat this - we're already below that overhead cost
hands down. Neener! Neener! Ha!
- I found a cheaper
host, Mocrap isn't cheaper?!
Ok, we do not feel you can compare us to the fly by nights who
operate shit desktop machines and call themselves a hosting company.
Any idiot can rent a $99 a month desktop grade machine from those
low cost dedicated hosting providers that do so - and then load up
software and publish a web hosting site template.
It's easy. In 5 minutes flat we can set up a hosting
company too! We know you will find fly
by night services everywhere - they will come and go. Everyone
and their grandmother is involved now. Some probably
setup a machine they found at a used PC store and hooked it up to
their DSL modem and there ya go! Instant hosting company
right? That's stupid too. You're stupid to
consider them.
Watch out for resellers, they are a dime a dozen. Selling
other hosting company packages and claiming its their own network!
All full of shit and will never last.
Mocrap runs on the successful Parcom network. We don't
have to worry about infrastructure, investors, whiny customers like
most of you reading, and we take vacations whenever we want to.
This shit works. Many hosts don't have a clue of what
they are doing. Our network has been around longer too.
- I want to use a
cheaper domain registrar, can I?
First, we'll make fun of you.
If you choose to use our domain registrar service, we'll actually
consider giving you bonus credits down the road if you kiss our
asses enough. In the long run it will be cheaper
with us if you play your cards right. Otherwise,
we could care less but we have to penalize you for doing that. Just don't blame us if your domain
registrar has problems or goes bankrupt, etc. We also reserve
the right to charge the "idiot for using another registrar fee"
which is $5-$10 a year. That's our choice. Too
bad so sad.
- My hosting
company said mocrap sucks.
Good. They are just jealous that they didn't think of this
first. They probably offer worse service in terms of their
network and wondering why all
the customers are signing up with us and leaving them.
So if they even mention us, this is because they are losing business
to us. So what! Fuck em!
- I am paying money
to get abused? Why?
You guessed it, that is part of the deal and fun! If you
cannot deal with that, then take a hike! You have no
sense of humor and have to live with yourself knowing you are an
idiot.
- Can I get any
kind of support via phone or e-mail?
Well, you can e-mail us, but we probably won't answer you.
Don't even think of contacting our sister company for support. If
you do, your account will be deleted and we'll tell everyone about
it if you complain. We built up a forum for you to ask
other clients and of course, we'll answer you if we feel it
necessary to do so. If you get lucky you may get a response
from someone via e-mail - we're not that cruel, but we'll be cruel
in that e-mail.
- Why name it
Mocrap?
Duh. It's Parcom spelled backwards. It sounds funny, and
it was Crazy Dave's choice. Deal with it. It
also sounds good - "Mo Crap for you" and "Mo Crap for us to host"

Should be obvious
to you. It is someone who does not have to ask that
question asshole! It is someone who does not ask for much
help relating to their computer. They are self sufficient
people and perhaps are in the I.T. industry too. Essentially there are many
people out there that know how to use computers and can pretty much
READ manuals. By not bothering us with technical support
inquiries Mocrap can provide customers with far superior deals that
no one can beat.
- I
want to complain, where do I do that?
There will be a
form for that and you can figure out where that is on your control
panel. Most of the complaints get printed and filed in
the "round filing cabinet" but sometimes we'll post them for all to
see. That's part of the deal.
- Are you the first
host to do this?
Maybe. Actually yes. There are probably
similar ones out there by now, but not when we started the concept
and idea. The idea started in 1995 actually. We're sure there are a lot of copy
cats. We don't care. We're the first to do it
right in our opinion. How about that?
If this stuff matters to you, you're an idiot. All we
know is there are people who want this service, and there are people
will will think they have something better than this service.
No one does it like Mocrap does too. So if you are the one
trying to compete with Mocrap, you suck.
- If
I suck up more do I get goodies?
Yes,
motherfucker. You do. We are building the top ten
suck up domains of all time and if you want to achieve #1 status,
you will find yourself on one of our flagship top of the line
servers that would make most geeks teary eyed. Solid state
drives, everything top of the line, even the memory is RAID5.
